Abstract

The paper hopes to discuss what causes Catharine's attitude towards relationship from 3 aspects: the first is sociable background including the Feminism to exhibit the creating of Catherine's view of marriage; the second reason is other people's affects containing distinctions between Heathcliff's and Edgar Linton's individuality and their family members ground; the third one is her personal elements including her characters.

1 . 1 An Introduction to Emily Bronte

Emily Bronte came to be in Thornton, Yorkshire. Your woman moved with her daddy to Haworth, Yorkshire, 1820, and resided there for the remainder of her your life. In order to support their friends and family, Emily and her two sisters, named Charlotte and Anne, generally had to step out to are school teachers or private governesses. At that time a governess got a low salary and was looked straight down upon simply by others. Later on they planned to start a school of their own, and Emily with her sibling Charlotte visited Brussels to study French. In regards to a year later the illness and death with their aunt for Haworth recalled them house. Their dad's failing look and Branwell's conduct necessitated that one stay in the reduced family group of friends, and Emily was decided to do this.
